Changed front tyre on my 1260 PP this afternoon, was intending to do rear as well but hit a snag. One of the front wheel bearings is notchy so not reinstalling wheel as it's a pain to remove again. As a result rear tyre change will have to wait. Obviously will be changing bearings on both sides given milage is 16k. Does anyone know of a Ducati part number to SKF lookup or chart online? Or have the required info? Ideally I need to find one from a local bearing supplier. The Ducati part number is 70250451A, not the same as the regular 1260 Multi. Seal is listed as 93040521A - SEAL RING 35X47.15X6.8 which is handy as that at least gives the size.
My guess is the bearings are 47mm OD 25mm ID x12mm width which will give a bearing number if entered on a bearing supplies site. You could measure up the ones you have to confirm . PS strongly suspect you’ll need C3 spec & 2RS (dual sided rubber seals)

Your existing bearings should have a number marked on one or both faces of the outer race - something like 6005 (for example) then more info about the seals; probably 2RS. You can them search for the exact equivalent on the sites suggested above.
The bearing I removed the seal from had nothing on it, possibly on the inside face. Will have a look at the other side tomorrow, wheels in the kitchen are unpopular enough as it is... And yes, the seals have all the dimensions on them, as does the Ducati parts diagram.
Popped the seal out on the opposite side. Not fully legible but I'm reading that as 6005 - 2R SH / C3. On a search this brings up bearings that seem to match what I need. @Macca, you were correct Seals have AS 35 47 6/6.5 clearly marked. Looks like I have the information I need. Now to find a local supplier. I presume the cutout on on end of the spacer tube is to facilitate a pin punch to carefully go round, on the inner race of the old bearing on that side, in stages driving the bearing out? Will look into buying a proper bearing driver to help with insertion of the new ones. Hopefully the bearing supplier will be able to sell me one of those. I use the outer of the old bearing to press in the new. Slitting the old outer with a thin cutting disc means you don't get it stuck in any recess.
Bearings ordered along with new seals. Seals more expensive than Ducati ones but bearings a lot cheaper for SKF. And they'll be available to collect tomorrow morning. I've now taken the old bearings out and reverse of knackered one confirms the SKF part number/specification. They were really reluctant to come out until I introduced the wheel to the heat gun. Girlfriend sent me this...
I would put some grease on the inside of the external seals when you fit them as i found the ones on my V4 multi wheels had corroded springs after only a few Thousand miles . This formed a rusty paste that got into the bearings .
Good tip, thanks. What do you reckon, LM or red rubber grease? Won't over-pack the recess, don't want it getting warm and coming out onto the disks... Usually smear a little LM grease onto the spindle too as they always seem to corode a little.
