I just picked-up a second set of white pannier trim to match the white 2018 Multistrada Pikes Peak. They still do not match. First the satin white was close but not glossy. Now these glossie are more like grey. How many whites does ducati have?
That's why the dealer suggested to go with red! Looks like non of white pannier panels match PP white...
Perhaps but the satin white ( whatever it's called) is very close. In fact, a glossy clear would do it if my OCD breaks-out. It's not a big deal but not having the exact trim color for their flagship model is an oversight by Ducati.
The red is an exact match so they probably thought most would go with that as it’s neither predominantly red or white. I would rather have had white trim though. OCD prevented that.
Yep, think the PP white is more of a pure gloss white whereas the white DVT is iceberg white which does have a grey element. Self and girlfriend saw a 1260 DVT in iceberg white parked up in Wales, had a chat with it's owner and his lady. This was at the point between ordering mine and delivery and was shocked at how grey it looked under a cloudy sky. Thought I'd made a mistake in my choice of colour but stuck with it, was probably too late anyway. In reality it's fine, looks white to me, just ever so slightly off white. My white MV Tursimo looked pissy yellow at times, prefer the colour of the DVT.
