Hi Guys Just running in my new 1260, one question, is the pillion seat on the 1260 longer than the 1200 one, when riding the bike I find that the back of my arse is rubbing up against the pillion seat which I never had on the previous MTSs, having lost a couple of stone its not because of a fatter arse either so just thinking they might of changed it
As far as I'm aware they're the same shape. I have DP comfort rider and pillion seats on my 1260 and those were listed as for the 2015-17 1200. In fact the rider seat was a good as new used one from a member on here who had a 1200. I suppose its possible the the pillion seat over-hangs the rider seat a little more but a/ I can't see that being by very much, and b/ can't see why they'd do that.
It would be odd if they made the 1260 pillion seat longer again, it was made shorter in 2012/3 following owners comments. I would think it is simply a slightly different shape making you sit further back. Do you have it in high or low position ? That may affect it too.
High position the same as my 1200, does seem strange but its very noticeable, going to the dealers tomorrow with my tap measure and and to check whether they have changed the shape
