Pirelli Supercorsa, Michelin Pilot Power 2ct Or Maxxis Supersport?

  1. These are the three I have narrowed down for my 1100 evo conversion, which is nearly finished. Am I over-egging the pudding with the pirellis, and am I just paying for brand with the michelins?

  2. Just to add confusion, don't ignore Metzler. The M7RR gets a good write up across a number of formats. Got them fitted to my Multistrada although yet to get good miles to make a judgement. Andy

  3. Is your multistrada aircooled?

  4. No it's a 1200s. Andy

  5. No it's a 1200s. Andy

  6. I run supercorsas on my ss, love them, but I prefer the more aggressive profile of the maxxis offering to be honest

  7. How many miles do you get out of the supercorsas?

  8. About 600 to a rear.

  9. I usually find the right side to wear out quickest, the middle is still fine after that many miles tbh.
The maxxis used to last about 1200 to a rear, and the fronts... Well my original maxcos front has seen off three ducati rears, then I put it on the Yamaha and it saw off two tyres on that and would still be ok now if it wasn't punctured in a crash :)

  10. Yikes so knackered before I even get home from the ring....

  11. Unless you run at the hot end of fast group and you're going to run mainly on track, I'd be looking for a tyre that heats up quickly and has decent wet grip. I'm running a set of PR3s on my Commuter VFR and they are ace. A mate of mine had them on his blade for a few trackdays last year and he was circulating well in inters without any issues.

You're mad going round the ring on a bike btw
