Pitted Front Discs Ducati 1098 Sf

  1. All , as you can see front discs have started to pit, i am a little concearned as bike is garage all year ,any ideas what could have caused this. IMG_1857.JPG
     
  2. Lots of things cause pitting, from the content of the brake pads to the iron content in the disks.

    Ive seen worse and I had similar on an R1 from running SBS pads.

    As long as your pads are not binding and the brakes work its nothing to worry about.

    Oh and if you wash your bike before putting it away it may encourage the pitting due to reaction between pads and disk.
