I do not have strong views about our monarchy other than they do bring a lot of money into the economy, so i am not anti at all. Just seen the latest birthday honours list, 1,180 people with one title or another. It's only a matter of time before I get a knighthood to motorcycling.
I to have no strong view either way however I wouldn't mind seeing some figures to the claim that they (bring a lot of money into the economy or do a lot for tourism) that always seems to be the stock answer when the question is asked..
Ar the economy...every 'sector body' claims it brings in billions yo the UK but, if you add them up, its probably 3 times the size of the real economy. Smoke and mirrors...bit like the honours list
