  1. I found this outside the garage. Most likely off a MTS1200, but remote possibility off a Panigale 1199 or F800GS

  2. Same bit, other side

  3. there was something similar ( rubber plug ) on mine ( 749 ) on rear swing arm where the access for the rear shock lower locating bolt

  4. Looks like a seat bung or summat like that.........

...........or maybe it comes off a car.........seen something like it in some car door reveals.

  5. definitely not a car, its in a motorcycle and pedestrian only zone in front of the garage.

  6. I've seen similar on other bikes and they were fitted to the underside of the exhaust to cushion the centre stand hitting the system when being retracted.

  7. Yep......and that, of course............(which I forgot all about......;))

  8. It's one of those re usable wine cork things like I got as a Christmas gift. Bloody useless, best thing to throw out the window, down there, that's it, near them garages. That'll keep the pesky bike/ pedestrian types busy guessing what it is!

  9. It might have fallen out of a pedestrian , I'm sure I've seen these in old people's homes ,,,

  10. not from the stand(s) or under an exhaust.

Unlikely to be a pedestrian unless they have been beyond the locked 8ft high gates

Have posted similar on a BMW forum

  11. It's definitely a stand-off buffer and could have a home in many places, could sit under or adjacent to battery or battery housing etc.

  12. Or it may have fallen out of a Tory politician. I'm sure certain MPs have had them used on them in the past

  13. Seen similar but flatter on my 999's bodywork as anti rattle pads - the pip is to pull it through a hole so the rubber snap fit locates. Looks like it was never correctly located and has wobbled out.

  14. But it also looks like the end of the legs on my zimmer frame..............

  15. Thanks everyone for their efforts, I have now identified the culprit.

Its from the top box plate on the MTS1200, it must have been dislodged and kicked out of the garage.
