Posted this in general area so soz for that. I need help in finding a lead that has a right angle DIN 4165 plug on one (mini cig lighter plug) end and a Keis compatible female socket on the other so I can get her on the back above freezing!!!! Bought her a Keis vest and (free) temp controller but that will not connect to the 12v sockets on the MTS1200 I have. Arrrgghhhh. Needs to be a right angle plug as handle to hoist the beast up on its mainstande is VERY close to the output socket....nice one Ducati!!!! Have contacted Keis, they don''t do a specific lead, looked on line but no joy so am trying here. I thank you.
I posted you a link to one on the other thread, you feed the battery terminal leads on the supplied keis cable into it and hey presto.
Have picked the brains of my other half (who has a Keis heated jacket and an electronics degree). He suggested this website: Home - [ MotorcycleMounts ] - there's something called a "Fused and adjustable Hella/DIN or standard cigarette lighter power plub (SKU 8831)" for the princely sum of £7.99, which looks plausible. There are about 100 other different plugs on the site so if that one doesn't look like it's what you're after, have a browse.
I bought the adapter from Keis to fit the multi power socket but it kept falling out on the move. I just connected the supplied battery connector and use that, it can be tucked away behind the side panel when not in use. Much less hassle. Good piece of kit the Keis vest. Cheers Paul
Thanks to all the replies. I've now ordered 2 right angle DIN plugs from the very helpful people at windingroads.co.uk. Will then chop Keis lead and solder plug onto it and see what happens. Got puncture in rear tyre today; 2 up with all 3 panniers loaded on only 2 miles out bound from home on way to kent. Arrrgghhhhh.
Funny that I've never had so many punctures since I bought the multi ! And I don't mean off road riding...
Yep, same here. Had my first puncture in over 20 years last week and not sure what caused it as there was nothing stuck in the tyre and air was seeping rather than pouring out of the hole. Strange but a plug sorted it. Mark H
