I have an intercom (sena) in my helmet. I far prefer having headphones in my ear, especially when listening to music, as opposed to the speakers in the helmet. I bought a pair of custom moulded earplugs with headphones built in but they stopped working. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative and wondered if the plugphones guardians are good. Do they do a good job of protecting your ears from wind/engine noise and is the audio quality ok? Doesn't need to be perfect as I'm sure it will be better than using the in-helmet speakers.
I’ve used plugphones before, for the money I thought they did the job well as just an earplug or like you’re intending, through the intercom. Will be taking a pair with me on my upcoming groom as a spare to my moulded set.
