  1. Now i may be setting myself up to have the piss ripped out of me for being wrong but if I'm right this guy has either been ripped something rotten him self or is trying to scam some one. Hes trying to sell a
"Termignoni Exhaust Full System & ECU - Ducati 1198 / 1098 (2010)+filter / servo" That cost £2k new but looks to me like a standard system with termi cans

  2. Don't know what a 'full system' is supposed to look like, but if I were a betting man, I'd say that was genuine, just dirty.

  3. surely this is what it should look like

    not

  4. yes @slof is correct, the seller has standard pipes..... maybe it was sold to him as a 'full system' ?

  5. yes, agreed. Good spot, they are standard pipes, the full systems don't have the valve in them, also the pipe running up to the cans is the size of a drain pipe!

I was actually stood looking at a mates 1098S last night that has a full system, the difference is quite a lot!

  6. I've asked him the question. Lets see what response I get.

  7. Had a response. The guy didn't know what he had. He thought it was a full system.

    Think he's been ripped off

  8. So now he is scamming - he didn't list your question ;) x

  9. "The ride become so much smoother as well with less engine braking than with eth standard system, takes a bit to get used too.

Approximately 4000 miles ish on the system, removed when sold my 1198."

errmm..if its standard wonder what it was replaced with before the bike sale ?

  10. Dear abmatt2002,Hi

I did not know that, i always thought it was a full system, the servo motor came with it., so just assumed.

I guess your right then in what you say then, if a full termi system does not have the servo valve, then whats for sale is the standard system plus slip ons etc.

    Thanks
    neil

This is the reply he sent. I'm going to report it to Ebay.

  11. You can set it in the listings not to list questions I think.

I've reported it through Ebays shite reporting system now.

  12. Yeah he needs to have chosen to show the question. Maybe he will alter the listing?

  13. the ECU he has is a 1098R part number (i guess they may have used the same for the 1198) and reads '0.70 1098R' ......so he has the ECU for the full system and it will display 'RACING' on the dash...I think he was stitched up

  14.
  15. He appears to have the ECU for a full 70mm system and he has the end cans but in between he has the OE pipes not the 70mm pipes.

The 70mm pipes have a kink just before the cans, standard pipes are 'straight'

  16. Just checked on Ebay - the Race ECU appears to have a different part number - 7B not 8B

  17. Good spot slof. Hopefully this will prevent someone else getting ripped off :)

  18. 96519608B definitely ECU for a 70mm packing 1098R. Google 95618607B you get ECU for 1098/1098s. Andy

  19. I don't believe the guy doesn't know what he's selling. If he had been mis sold them and thought it was a full termi system he would realise when he swapped them over or someone would have pointed it out. Everyone message the bell end if he realises everyone knows what he is doing he will have to take the advert down or list it as what it is

  20. i gave him a link to forum-thread yesterday,,he can either be lightly educated by you who know this stuff/join in, or just ignore everyone and carry on i guess.
i did that so he wouldnt think its was a bunch of people/dealers intent on wrecking his sale,as does happen a lot on flebay.
