Hi all, Has anyone got one of these spare I could buy / borrow? Will only need it the once to update the firmware of my PC3 but I cant seem to find one anywhere! Thanks is advance, Jay
When I did the firmware on mine I just used a mini usb cable and built a 9v connector. I have some 9v connectors that I built for £5 (inc p&p). You need to verify if you are 1.0.0.20 or above. If so you can use just the usb cable. For power, if on the bike switch ignition on or off bike use 9v adapter.
I have the 9v adaptor and USB, but my firmware is earlier then the 1.0.0.20 so need the programmer to update it - Once it has been updated it will work fine with the USB, but really struggling to get my hands on a programmer. There must be one out there?
Hello Campers My PCIII USB has bricked itself or possibly, I did it by looking sideways at it. The PC is acknowledged by the PC Control Centre when it is connected to my laptop but all attempts to communicate with it have failed. The PC does not light up in any way when connected to a power source. The PC was working (on the bike) before I connected it to my laptop - when I tried to upload a map to the PC, the software said it couldn't connect to it and, worse, the PC went completely inert and stopped fuelling the bike. I have the latest Control Centre and Reprogrammer software, per the PC website. Is there anyone in Sussex/Hampshire/Kent with a Reprogrammer unit that I can try? I assume that this widget can force/reflash the PC firmware? I could shell out for one but it will be a bit annoying if this just proves that the PC is dead. Any updated advice on this issue will be gratefully accepted!
Anywhere with a Dynotech probably. Or just remove it. They often fail and people just take them off and race without.
