  2. Some nice stuff on there however I reckon the red chain would drop the price by at least £500!

    :upyeah:

  3. Phill, firstly, it's a lovely looking bike. If you don't mind me saying, from my point of view you would benefit from taking a few of the things back to standard in order to sell it for the most money. Because some of the parts potentially narrow the audience of people that would be interested; that's not to say in the slightest that any of it is chav, quite the opposite but the best money seems to come from immaculate standard bikes.

I would leave the BST's and the PC etc; but would sell off the Matris, and the carbon fuel cap stuff separately and would put a standard exhaust on it and maybe just include the GPR one as an extra.

I hope you take that in the spirit it's intended, all I mean is that true value is in how tidy it is and not always the extra's. You may realise more value from selling some of the parts separately.

  4. always a dilema but hoping a buyer might appreciate the mods done.
have most of the stock parts to go back on.

matris damper is a work of art unlike the standard ohlins what is rubbish and superior performance and made of titanium and nitrogen pressurised.

  5. So for me that's the absolutely perfect thing :) What are you going to replace it with? 999's do seem to be on the up now and have been for a while, they were disgustingly cheap in 2011, and me and a couple of mates were looking at them but they have got more and more expensive as people are starting to appreciate the look of them and magazines started doing articles about how good value they are.

The curse of the magazines, it happened with the TL1000R as well.. all of a sudden they were £750-1000 more money

  6. Answer is no where near what you think it is. Best answer is back to std and sell stuff off. Aftermarket can, std suspension, few tasteful carbon trinkets and ebay or whatever the restit can be a ballache and means a quick change often is t possible as can tale a while to clear the stuff out

  7. +1 on what bradders says. Worth more as std with extras sold separately. Might even be harder to sell with some of the stuff on.

  8. I could be interested in the BST's and the slipper

  9. pm me with an offer

  10. I always wondered, who takes any notice of those rags anyway??

Has anybody ridden a TL? bloody awful thing..running wide on every corner and grinding its pegs out at every opportunity...didnt they have to keep recalling them because of that dodgy rear shock too>

  11. once setup they were good.
back in the day a rider took one around the TT at about 116mph or 118 mph from memory.

    heres mine from years ago
and they had torque ducati would kill for lol with total reliability

  13. As Phill748 says, you are probably better off returning the bike back to as standard as possible and selling the goodies to maximise your return.

I'm selling my 1098s and know it's at the top of the market, but when you consider the condition and the parts it has on it, you'd struggle to buy a mint bike and put those parts on it yourself for the money. The trouble is that people don't see it like that. I know that I have to do this with the 1098s, but can't be bothered  so can see me keeping it.

  14. What people want (as I found out) is standard money with all the std parts chucked in but keep all the bling too.

  15. Yeah I found the same Bradders and told them to fuck off with my old 996BP.I wanted 7k for it as it was covered in good extras but cheeky c##ts where offering me standard prices lol.

So I took the extras off which sold for around £3500 on fleabay and then sold the bike for £3600.

First thing to take off that 999S is the BST wheels and flog them on fleabay.Should see at least £1200 - £1400 in good condition. Then the steering damper and any other extras slipper clutch etc etc.You will be nicely surprised what it all adds up to.

  16. And peolpe want ohlins...simple fact whether right or wrong so if its an S and you have the std ohlins damper you're on a winner

  17. u talk out your arse :p

make an unattractive grey damper that is made out of stainless steel and machined cast alloy, cover it with grey hammerite lol. fill it like its full of treacle and sell it for a fortune. its about as tech as an austin princess and just as pretty...

I like performance with top components.
I like my bikes on that basis.
    im not alone

you have obviously never ridden with a matris M4 damper - sublime
