I am looking for a programmable shift light for the 1198 / 748. Any experience anyone? I want to set light for peak torque (8250rpm), not max RPM

Old skool DataTool RevLight? I had one on the 748 and it worked well - had 3 modes as well; dot, graph and flash only.
Not sure they still make them but maybe 2nd hand off ebay?

Can't you change the shift light range on the 1198? I thought it was programmable, maybe wrong.

Have a look at the PZ Racing site. They do a an LED setup that has 5 programmable settings. They sell a lot of plug and play items for Ducati's. I use their Youcam GPS video\datalogging system on my track bike which is very good.
