Taken from an email just sent to me Ducati have an ultra exotic and high performance new Panigale Superbike on the way, the development name for it is project 1201, we should be able to reveal more soon but one thing we can point out at this stage is that contrary to what the press are saying the bike is not invite only. 500 machines will be built for the world and they can be ordered now but they are going fast. If you would like us to get you a 1201 it is vital that you speak to Paul, who has seen the bike, as quickly as possible. Paul can give you more technical information and can get your name on one of the few remaining machines. Ducati They're good at all this "bullshit and fairylights" malarkey aren't they. Keeps the story up there for another week at least.
