Hi, selling a project which I unfortunately won’t now have time to do justice to. The finished bike will be awesome, but a fair amount of work will be needed to get it there. You might take it in an entirely different direction, of course, but the situation you can rely on is that the value of the parts included add up to far more than the purchase price. So, the end goal was an 80 bhp 120 kg track weapon and usable road bike using top quality components. The plan was a KTM 640 single tuned to around 80 hp (90 plus is possible but gets expensive) in a Nico Bakker (GP frame design legend) Laverda alloy beam chassis with top quality WP suspension. Essentially, I collected together some of the parts, but never started work on it. What is included: 1 x full rolling / stopping Laverda 668 chassis with WP suspension F &R, brembo, marchesini etc (the Honda 250RS engine currently mounted is included, was said to work fine) - very good condition, logbook in my name. 1x “spare” second Laverda 668 chassis with swingarm, good condition, again, logbook in my name 1x KTM 640 engine from a KTM Duke. Untested by me but bought as a runner. Top end and crank bearings appear good, problem with the generator to be sorted. Aluminium fuel cell in good condition Any other bits I find for it along the way. (We moved house recently) The bike will be legal to retain the current registration, as DVLA say the original chassis, suspension and wheels are enough, and the engine can be changed without re-registering. The rear wheel is in “backwards” due to the Honda engine output side. The KTM engine will correct this. Neither chassis has been modified. The price is £800 PM if interested. Thanks.
