944 SS Water Cooled! Project After retiring from racing and hating riding on the road since i started i now have the urge to get a 900ss back on the road. After spending the last few weeks sorting my workshop/shed out i have sold on all duke bits i dont need. (from a 888/ST4 project which got too expensive with racing depts to pay off as well) The plan! I have a 900ss frame, ST4 front wheel, SSie rear wheel, all brake parts, yokes, mudguard, rear light and plastic undertray etc. ally swinger, coils, all switch gear and most electrical stuff needed. I'm looking for ST4 or SSie forks, Shock, engine (900ss or ST2 or why) headers, cans, clocks, 40mm dellortos, front fairing mount,
Hello Steve, rear light and placcy tray I might have (I think I definitely have...just dont know where :-D ), cans (laser carbon or some stainless steel renegades) I have got, clocks I have somewhere...well at least a UK speedo might be chopping the tacho up for my F1 project. Shocks I have two or three of, one standard, one grubby maxton springed jobbie and one Paoli carbon fibre jobbie. I have an old very grubby corroded engine. but not sure if I will use that on my next project! Swingarm I have got...but you aint getting it :-D
I know I'm a fine one to talk on this subject but will this project see the light of day Steve ?
Oh yes  No more being a silly prat wasting money on racing  Just sorting out what ecu to use or carbs/ignitech unit.............. Frame's going to be white.
I've got a set of std headers Steve........but I collected the ally swingarm back from Phils as you hadnt collected it in a year, and sold it at Brands......
What length shock do you need Steve? I've got one that came off one of the DD bikes, it was a little too short for me as I'm running an under seat exhaust. It has a Maxton spring so someone was going to use it in DD but I think it's a few mm shorter than most prefer. Might be spot on for the road though?
Hi Dave, Are the headers 900 ? yep sorry about the swingarm......... so much shite going on last year! and lack of time.
Yes Steve, they are 900 headers........but if you want something REALLY special, I have the ex works BEARS SIL Moto headers that I ran on the 900...they dont work on a 620.......
Hello Steve, £150 for the legs, £75 for the arm, I have just offered the arm to a pm. before I saw your post though. Cheers, Keith.
