Project V20c.....a Damp Squib Or Something To Get Excited About?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Topolino, Jul 28, 2022.

  1. I would imagine many of you will have received an email from Ducati earlier today, with the obligatory teaser shot of the new Project V20C. I'm guessing a Lambo/Ducati Streetfighter styling mash-up/combo that pays some sort of homage to the new STO car they have produced. The image shown appears to be the lower oil cooler shroud on the Streetfighter V4. Anyone else care to guess what the new Project is, that literally no-one is waiting with baited breath for?

  2. All this money marketing bull should be spent on getting rear brakes to work on a few of their models:upyeah:

  3. It will doubtless be yet another parts bin special with a few colour hints and decals, as a nod to its four wheel counterpart.

  4. I’d personally prefer to see them concentrating on fulfilling the orders they have before launching yet another pointless “limited edition”. Andy

  5. Be nice if they built a competative bike. You know, one that can compete with ones half the price. Even the v2 gets raped by what is essentially a 20yr old Yamaha R6.

  6. Tell that to Scott Smart and Stewart Higgs, they set the handicapping rules for WSBK an BSB. Andy

  7. And dashes that don’t crack.
And engine paint that doesn’t fall off.
And rads that crack their side walls.
    And........

£55,995 for the new Lamborghini Streetfighter V4!! Have Ducati gone quite mad? Even with the fancy paintjob, wheels slip-on exhaust, dry clutch, coloured calipers plus a few extra bits of carbon, that price is comical. You could almost buy 2 x V4SP Streetfighters for that money.

  9. It does seem weird that they didn't take the SP and then re-brand that Rather than create a basically stock bike that is clearly no better than a regular version.

I do quite like the orange and Grey paintjob thought. Not worth £55k mind... maybe a £1500 more ? :)

  10. Its cynical and clearly illustrates the disregard and lack of respect Ducati has for its customers that it thinks it can rip them off. I'm disgusted.

  11. I would have a SP over the sto all day long

  12. I'd have a boggo SF and get it wrapped and save myself the money to use elsewhere. Same with V4. Theyre not 'proper' SP's like a 888SP, 916SP or 996SP etc are they? Theyre just normal bikes with a premium for a bit of paint.

  13. Insanity. Pablo Escobar allegedly burned a million dollars in cash to keep his daughter warm one chilly night. Seems like Ducati are targeting people like Pablo o_O
