  1. I have just built myself one of these Motorcycle Storage Garage - Locksmiths Approved | Motorbike Storage Asgard - excellent piece of kit. I will post a fuller account of the trials and tribulations of the endeavour - along with my assessment of the unit and some photos when I have more time.

But in the meantime, anyone thinking of buying one can ask me questions here. The are on offer from £999 at the moment and worth every penny, I reckon, as insurance companies recognise that they are almost impossible to break into.

  2. I would be interested to know how it fairs over winter as it is un-insulated and metal.

    Condensation city.

  3. I reckon someone with a good drill will get into that no problem :)

  4. I'm sure you're right. It is well ventilated though so we will see

Still good for me though as I don't have space for a garage and get to keep my bike in an insurance-approved secure shed.

I don't intended to do any maintenance in it so as long as I keep the bike covered a bit of condensation will be a small price to pay.

I've had two much- loved bikes stolen - admittedly in over 40 years on two wheels - and I'm not keen to repeat the experience.

Drips of condensation are also preferable to snow etc in my book.

  5. Looks like one got away from Matt. ;)

  6. Yes and if they had a cherry picker the thieves could load the whole thing on to a lorry and break in at their leisure. If someone wants a bike they'll steal it. End of.

But it's better than nothing, or only a cover and a ground anchor (my current option). I also have a tracker and and immobiliser so I'm doing all I can to reduce my insurance premium. Below £200 this year and falling!

  7. Lots of interest. Just trying to be helpful. No connection with the company at all. So young but so cynical!

  8. I agree. But it seems a tad expensive at a grand. To me anyway.

  9. Not for me. Worth it just because I no longer have to faff about putting a cover and a padlock and chain on in the dark at night - or any time really!

  10. So it's a few hundred pounds more than a non-insurance-approved shed and I'll get that back in a few years courtesy of reduced premiums.

I believe, sir, that is what is known in the common vernacular as a no-brainer!

  11. So does this tin shed take all the bikes you have listed in your profile?

    Namely.....Honda 250, Honda 750, Honda 900, Laverda Jota, Triumph Speed Triple 1050, Multistrada 1200?

Is it a tardis? If so then it's worth every penny of that £1000 :)

  12. Ha bloody ha. Such a wit ...

  13. Mind you I wish I still had them all ... sold my Jota for £1,800 in '84!!!

  14. I know. But answer the question please :)

  15. Ahhh so just bikes you've ridden then. Not current. At all.

  16. Big enough for two bikes max I reckon.

  17. Cant understand why someone would go to so much effort and start more than a dozen threads if they had no interest in the business? One thread would of been enough and looked less suspect but now it just screams that you have a agenda. Maybe im wrong, but im pretty sure others think the same

  18. Hardly much effort. Just thought it wouldn't be only Multi owners who'd benefit. Sheesh ... wish I hadn't bothered to try to be helpful on a boring Sunday evening. I certainly won't bother again. Tempted to be rude but won't bother. As you say, not worth the effort. Anyway, the sun is shining so I'm off for a ride.

  19. So if it applies to bikes in general , put the topic in General discussion. As the little furry meerkat says "simples". Glad to hear you wont bother again as its worse than all those spam post selling blow up dolls or whatever they sell

  20. Christ man. No one died! Or even dropped their desmosedicci!
