It's the best! Really helps reduce wind buffeting, etc. you get with the standard screen. See here for pics of mine.
It looks good too. I've got the Ducati touring screen at the mo on a 2010 model but I'm hoping to swap very shortly to a 2013 model and the standard screen looks bigger but not very attractive. Was it the earlier or later screen you replaced?
I've got a 2011 model. I had the original screen, then tried the Ducati Touring screen and finally the Puig Sports screen. The difference is enormous. I'm only 5'11" and I assume height makes a difference, but I have all day comfort at any speed with it.
As an aside, I compared my 2010 standard screen to that on my 2012, and they are different ! The 2012 is pretty much the same size, but is much flatter, there is around 25mm difference in the middle. When the bike is back together I will see if it makes much difference...
Wouldn't mind seeing any pics of the 2013 Puig Racing Screen fitted to the bike if anyone has them? Not sure if it looks any different to earlier models or the Sports screen?
Got it recommended here so took the plunge. £68 on eBay and arrived just as the hurricane winds hit. Made the time today for a quick spin and can report its much better the the one which was fitted. The bike came with a wider and taller touring type of screen, which you had to look through when adjusted on highest setting. I found it difficult to see through when in rain and the buffering at high speed blurred my vision and left me with a headache. This one looks cool and does the job ...So buy one.
Seems that they're a bit cheaper on here, which is the company in Germany who sell on eBay and Amazon, with free delivery too by the look of it. http://www.bs-motoparts.com/en/Duca...74.htm?CT=674&n_pg=1&n_dis=0&n_srt=7&n_ipp=16
Hi hookey, no the screen was bought by the previous owner it has the three fixings and is on an adjustable carrier so it's set off from the fairing by about 1"and a half. With a small amount of tinkering I managed to re use it. You can now adjust the rake as well as the height. Not sure what make it is though.
Ordered a light smoke version yesterday from BS Motoparts with free shipping. I'll let you know how we get on.
[h=2]Puig racing double bubble screen[/h] Anyone able to report as to whether this screen is an improvement on the 2013 model standard screen? I am trying to decide between this one with/without top spoiler and the MRA X-screen. I find the standard screen OK regarding buffet but rather too noisy at high speeds and over long motorway distances. I am 6' 2" tall. Any comments by anyone having tried both would be most welcome.
You definitely don't want the Racing Double Bubble screen, that's for sure! Presume you're looking at the touring screens? Can't help with your question, sorry but if you're happy with the standard screen other than the noise earplugs would be a cheap solution if you haven't tried them.
Just in case it's any help to anyone, standard 2013 touring screen: And Puig Racing Screen, light tint: Haven't ridden it yet so can't report on practicalities, but I think it looks good and it's top quality.
