Hi All. Bought a clear Puig sport screen to replace the dark one I have but it doesn’t seem to fit. The holes don’t seem to line up but it says it fits the 950/1200/1260. Are the 1200dvt same as 1260 screens? anyone any thoughts. Do I just need to bend it out? Just didn’t know if there was a bracket I needed or similar? Many thanks
1200DVT and 1260 are the same in respect of a lot of components including the screen. The pre DVT 1200 was different though.
Thanks Bumpkin much appreciated. Not sure why I can’t get the holes to line up then. It’s close but feel like I need to bend the screen backwards to make it reach.
I have had to “flex” Puig screens a bit to fit before now - grommets seated just right with bolts fitted in advance helps. Careful not to cross thread the brass mounts if you’re persuading it….yep, been there.
First 1200cc multistrada (2010-12?) had 3 hole screen. Then came twin spark which had 4 hole screen (2012-14?). 2015 brought the DVT which had 3 and this pattern remained in place through the remaining twin cylinder bikes. Someone will correct the year ranges I have wrong I am sure!
