Puig Short screen

  1. Any one got one? Are they any good?

  2. Not a Puig short screen but I tried a standard Puig and a cut down stock screen (now both in the For Sale section). What are you trying to achieve?

The standard Puig gives better weather protection and a bit less buffet and turbulence than the stock screen, especially if used with Aztec spacers.

The cut-down screen puts you in the free air stream so is smooth and quiet but you collect more of the weather.

Everyone seems to get different results though as you will see from numerous threads. There is really no substitute for trying lots of screens to find out what works for you.

Just fitted one recently so not done a great amount of miles with it yet, although 1st impressions are less wind around the head area, looks better than stock item too.

  4. Fitted one of these earlier in the year, more of a speed limiting device than anything else as speeds above 90mph (on private roads of course) become really uncomfortable (I'm 6'2"), as opposed to my wonderful MRA Vario screen which makes it easy to sit on the bike at ridiculous speeds (once again on those private roads).

For me it works, you feel like you're going at damn sight faster at much lower speeds, so the fun is still there, and you're not risking your licence quite as much doing so.

Good quality piece of kit too. I got the matt black one, it looks great on my 2012 Matte Titanium bike.
