hey guys, how are you? I woke up this morning and I found out that my rear tyre has got a puncture. Is there any service in London that can fit tyres at home? I’d rather not ride it, just in case I c**k up the wheel! Thanks!!
Several types of puncture repair kits exist, and you need one of these. Readily available on eBay, or at motorbike dealers. First locate the nail, mark its location so you don't lose track, and pull it out. Ream the hole a little (not too much) using a reaming tool. Then insert the plug - I prefer the "black sticky string" method. Reinflating the tyre requires either a pump or (more realistically) a few gas cylinders and a connector to the valve. A good kit should include everything you need. Then you can ride to a tyre place and get them to do a proper repair, or maybe fit a new tyre. It is possible to ride a considerable distance on a flat tyre, but (a) it's difficult; (b) it's not really legal; and (c) you will definitely need a new tyre afterwards.
Get yourself a rocky-creek compressor with a stop-n-go puncture kit(or similar). Both can fit under the back seat of a multi' Very small quick compressor; although you need the leads directly on the battery. It's worth having the bike running as it so powerful it could drain a battery. And compliment both with a tire gauge.
