Hi Guys, I am collecting a new to me 1299s tomorrow from one of the furthest parts of the universe. I have a Quadlock with both stem sizes 18.5 & 18.5+ that I am planning to take so I can fit it to the bike as I will definitely need turn by turn directions. Can anyone confirm if the Quadlock will fit in the stem and whether i need the small or larger adapter? And yes...............I will post pictures if I survive the 12hr round-trip. Many Thanks Jake
Not sure on the exact size, I use one of these - https://www.ram-mount.co.uk/motorcycle-fork-stem-mount-with-1-ball - might be worth seeing if you can pick one up from somewhere today to be safe unless someone else can advise on size
I’m not 100% sure but I think the Panigales have a stepped hole that gets bigger inside the initial opening. Ultimate Addons do a Panigale specific stem mount because of this.
I use a Telferizer ram ball https://www.telferizer.com/ use the antivibe mount too or lose your phones camera
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I was deep in the Northern Welsh territories today and I picked up a lovely 1299s with 900 miles on the clock and dealer service history. The lack of sat nav made the journey super exciting lol. I recently purchased an intercom but on its test run today, it failed to work. Well 9hrs and 5 fuel stops, I’m finally home. Pics to follow once I’ve had a chiropractic session as I’m spent lol.
