Managed to get a good 270mls on bike this weekend ,Absolutely brilliant bike except for one thing. When I accelerate hard to pass something just as I ease off it gives a quick surge of power! ! I think I've read about this somewhere but I wonder if it's been cured.
Not had this issue as described BUT if you had the bike in Sport Mode then the throttle can be quite sensitive and if you catch it with your glove as you twist the throttle back and adjust your grip it can give a surge. Had it happen a couple of times when the reaching for the front brake lever, especially with thicker gloves on.
This can be common with bikes that come in with huge power around 6-7k rpm. If you give almost full throttle to pass and the engine is about to hit the power surge , a gently roll off is not enough to stop the acceleration into the power range. VFR1200 did this a lot. Very pleasurable feeling
