V4 Quick Action Throttles

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by t3scn, Feb 19, 2023.

  1. I’m thinking about getting a quick action throttle for my 2023 V4 race bike.

Searching the internet throws up mixed reports on Jetprime and Domino versions, plus I’m not sure that the later is any less rotation than stock - so not quick action.

Any first hand experience would be most appreciated.

  2. ive always used domino one mate, seem to work well

  3. On a V4?

  4. no mate, couple of gsxr's and an an er650 race bike

  5. Domino web site talks about a 10% reduction in rotation. The Jetprime looks to incorporate the throttle action with buttons. Domino is twice the price of Jetprime mmmm ? Been very please with the standard analogue Domino on my Multistrada. Andy

  6. Thanks Any, I’ll take another look. I read it’s 65 deg which I believe it the same as the std throttle and the Jetprime is 60 deg (from 0 to 100%).

    I’ll do some more investigating

  7. Did you get anywhere with this as I’m considering a jetprime unit myself for my v2 but the gain looks marginal. Especially with throttle spacers removing about 5 degrees of slack.

  8. Hey @Expat Jack

I went with a Domino in the end, and after also trying the Jetprime I’m happy I did go with it. The Jetprime can be grainy and still has slack in the throttle, talking to Rick at JHP the quality of the Jetprime’s is often questionable.

The Domino however is known to fail. I’ve been running mine on my race bike since Feb and it’s been perfect so far. It’s more aggressive on initial opening, direct and mechanical in feel. Can’t fault it so far :upyeah:
