Is the SS compatible with bobbins-type rear paddock stands, or does it need to be the cup type which supports under the swingarm?
My Monster has bobbins fitted and so a stand fits easily, however I wanted to loosen the bolt that sits in front of the bobbin (and is covered by the stand) whilst the bike was still on the stand. I find that the same stand supports the bike equally well under the spindle nuts...
And whether you have either type of rear stand..... ....you can't take the swingarm out....... .....unless you can prop the bike up under the engine which no doubt means having to take the zorst off as well.......not to mention instability until the weight is off the rear end. .......Which is why I 'invented' my front and rear stands..........that Sev likes taking the p*ss out of....
As many a DD race hase done on alloy swingarms, drill and tap the solid section of the swarmgarm and bolt on a couple of bobbins.
