  1. -3 is the most used size for brake lines,

  2. You need the right ends on your brake lines - rather than a banjo bolt you'd need a female thread, like the old 916 lines.

    Something like this:

  3. if you've got braided lines you should be able to unscrew the banjo and the threaded sleeve which stays on the line should accept these no problems if you have aeroquip hoses.

    You'll need to get two AN3 push on sleeves for your lines however depending on where they're going to mount. remember your caliper is an M10x1.0 but I really wouldn't recommend mounting them on the calliper body itself.

    Other than the cool factor, and because you can, why do you want to go dry break?

  4. Sorry but I must correct you on this. Apart from the fact that virtually all braided hose kits now have swaged on ends, even if you do have the screw on bango's you can't simply unscrew the Banjo and screw the line directly to the dry break fitting.

    You will need to replace the banjo with a straight female fitting like this;

    to the Op yes the drybreak fitting is the correct one for brakes. most braided brake line kits are -3AN. there is a knack to building this type of brake line, so I wouldn't recommend making the lines up yourself. Both Venhill and Hel will make them up to your spec if you explain what you want.

    Are you looking at the Staubli dry breaks or the Chinese copies?

  7. Dunc, yes you're right! I was looking at a pair on some stuff at work with dry breaks as I was answering this!

    Staubli are the best but do have a price tag to match!

  8. At 30 quid that's good to know :)

  9. Your not allowed to buy em though, I saw em first

  10. I thought I'd revisit this as I checked my lines earlier on, so if they are aeroquip hoses like this:

    and the fitting on the banjo is this (AN-3) :

    then the dry breaks should go on without a hitch or need for extra bits, otherwise it'll be as Dunc says, which is the need for adaptors or new lines. Either way if you're considering mounting them to the caliper you'll need an adaptor to get to the M10x1.0 anyway. :upyeah:
