1200 DVT Quick Release Fuel Line O-rings *help!!!*

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by MrACD, Mar 4, 2022.

  1. This bike is testing me to the maximum. It's really giving me second thoughts on whether having a bike that is such a pita to work on is worth having. It's fighting me at every turn. Anyhoot -

I managed to get the fuel line out of the pump, albeit by breaking the clip - which I have sorted a replacement - but now, I need the o-rings that go round the elbow into the pump - which one has split, one dropped down the bike and the other is on the shelf. Any ideas on where I can get a 'set'?

The yellow and black ones are rubber and the red hard plastic.

As ever, I really appreciate the help.

    Thanks.

  6. The rings aren’t available from Ducati. Tbh, the connector isn’t a serviceable part. It’s quite widely used in automotive fuel systems so you may be able to source them elsewhere, but not Ducati.

  7. Thanks, kind of came to that conclusion - I will measure them with my digital caliper and just get an alternative.

  8. here you have the connector and much cheaper, this that has happened to you is not new, there was a thread in this same forum from where I got this link and it explained where and how to connect it, but I do not speak English well and I do not know how to look for it, I gave you the link if it works for you

  10. Thank you guys, bought the part from Fowlers. I see what I did wrong, managed to source some o-rings of the same size also. So, all being well it should be fine. Thanks for help as always.

  11. Hello MrACD, did you manage to fit the connector on the fuel pump? It was plug and play or you had to do some tricks to fit it? I think mine is ready to brake like yours and if i remove tank it wont plug correct again.
    Thanks for your time.

  12. You need to dismantle that Guzzi connector and just use the grey plastic end piece, its that, that breaks.

I now have a spare taped to my fuel line in case its needed. ;)
