Quickshifters

  1. One of the things I miss the most from my Street Triple was the Triumph Quickshifter I had fitted. Just plugged in, worked at pretty much any revs with no issues at all. I want to know can you get the same sort of thing for the Streetfighter 1098. I mean I know there are quite a few on the market but I've seen people mention transmission wear and reliability. I would like a QS but not at the expense of reliability.

Any advice? feedback from 1098/SF users with them fitted?

  2. Also what's the difference between the Annitori and HM quickshifter? I know they are both made by HM but the Annitori one seems to be cheaper

  3. Got mine of ebay for £100, went straight on and plug and play. I loved it!!!!!!!

  4. I have a HM+ QS, just took a little bit of fine tuning and it works a treat.

  5. PeterT will those work with my 1098 SF plug and play?

Also whats with the settings? I didn't have to do anything with my Triumph one haha. Do the Ducati ones work well at any revs or just full open throttle? I will use it mostly at full throttle anyway but it's good to know. T one worked from 4k upwards, higher the revs the smoother it was

  6. If anyone has an OEM 1198 QS they wish rid off please let me know. Ta

  8. Annitori is a budget ver of the HM Plus, it only has three sens levels and three kill times, I would avoid it as you will soon find the limitations of it, it was also made for sale in the US only however some found the way to the UK.

Cornona is the only real competitor to HM.

The HM Plus for Ducati is easy to install as the coil pack wires are on the side of the frame, its all plug and play. The HM Plus is the BEST shifter on the market IMO. It has full range of kill times so can be set to be slick where you like in the rev range, adjustable sensitivity to achieve perfect shift and programmable direction of shift, handy for selecting N from 2nd as it avoids stalling sometimes a problem with twins.

    :)

  10. Thanks for the info guys/girls. HM it will be once I've saved enough pennies

  11. Anyone using a QS on a bike without stick coils? And on the road? Know they are for the track, however would have said that about a slipper clutch - until I fitted 1 and gotta say I love it :upyeah:

  12. i hear lots of good things about cordona

  13. The streetfighter already has the ECU program to run the quickshifter. I bought one for a 848 evo of ebay and plugged it in and turned it on via the dashboard. A new one that is fitted as an option for the SF848/1098 is £280 from Ducati!!! they all are the same apart from the Pani linkages which are far shorter so you will have to use your cam and shift rod. Speak to any dealer and they will let you know. Moto Rapido gave me the info.

  14. This is interesting information. Does your bike have DTC? If the DQS is already embedded then that would make the upgrade easy. However, looking at the wiring for the DQS. Pin 2 from it goes to Pin 5 of the DTC module. This would suggest the DTC is an integral part of the set up.

  15. SF comes with traction control as standard

  16. Thanks for that.

Bootsam, looks like your set up should work with the DQS without any further ECU work :upyeah:

    (Sorry for hijack)

  17. Mine doesn't, I thought only the S models had it? I think the option is there on the dash but I definitely don't have it fitted
