Evening, I have upper & lower R&G radiator guards fitted to my Panegale. Taken fairings off to clean, also removed radiator guards and very surprised to find that the upper guard is suffering from paint bubbling & corrosion. Anyone else had corrosion on their R&G rad guards? Cheers.
This is not the first horror story I have seen on R&G guards, on another bike it was chattering against the radiator core and rubbed through it. The best cure is to bin it and fit the Evotech guard. My own R&G failure experience was with a tail tidy on a SV650 (first big bike), after 8 months it snapped off on the bend, it was replaced and the replacement started to crack in the same place within 2 months, Evotech from then on.
