  1. Anyone able to tell me if this colour combo was a limited edition?

  4. US Colours?

  5. I dont think its a true ltd edition. That would be the Kenny Roberts 06 (yellow) or a black SP.

I had the 06 in blue but REALLY wanted the yellow job....surely one of the best looking bikes built.

  6. Limited as in sales volume? Maybe more folk preferred the blue one.

I read once that Yamaha went for solid metallic blue's and red's to appeal to OAP's, sorry, no, the more mature riding types.
They used this colour in the Yamaha adverts with the bike in front of a burger van, stating that despite all the weight savings, its ruined by a rider having a fry-up. Nice

  7. No it was a standard UK colour only limited by the number Yamaha UK bought in to the country, Someone obviously thought it wouldn't sell so didnt bring many in. Demand did outstrip supply. But it wasnt a limited edition. (i was in sales at a Yamaha dealer at the time)

  8. i was talking to the yamaha guy at Prescott, that cross plane one does seem appealing for some reason :)

  9. Amazing soundtrack. A lot more thirsty than the models that went before it, but with a sound like that...who cares!

  10. Thanks chaps... toying with adding one to the Duc as a playmate.
Torn at the mo, prefer the looks of the 04-06 but may have a line on a well priced 07-08. Bit more umph + slipper.

Insurance asreholes arn't helping... Cancel policy get £5.84 back after 3 months! Same old bollox!
