R1300gs

  1. Seems to be a lot of improvements. Have to say I have a preference for twins, V or flat..love the torque.
Anyway, one of the more informative videos:

  2. I’ve owned 8 GS’s, and am following the reviews of this. I’m looking forward to seeing it in the flesh, and will take one out for a test ride.

  3. On my third. Impressed with the current 1250…could be a bit lighter, sharper and wheelie easier. Not the typical GS customer maybe, but the 1300 review sounds like things have gone the right direction for me.
A recent test ride on an MT 10sp made me realise that bikes like that (mt, superduke etc) need smooth roads. But roads are not smooth!

  4. Only understood a little of what these guys were saying..but ‘shocked’ and ‘power’ are not two of the words most would expect in a GS review! Nice to see a test with some corners and the throttle open.

  5. Well, been for a very quick look today as I was passing a dealer in Limoges.
    Impressed.
The bike looks a lot smaller (GS v GS, I have never been a fan of the bigger GSA) it feels much smaller to sit on too.
Tbh, overall, the Multistrada and KTM adv now seem like bloaters in comparison. Never thought that would happen, GS shrinks, others get bigger with each ‘upgrade’! Only slight negative, I am not excited by any of the colour schemes, which also tie you in to a spec. Though there is a lot of flexibility, inc lightweight forged wheels.
Anyway, well worth a look. The cylinders now line up too. Nice. I have done so many miles on the 1200 and 1250 that I dont notice when riding, but it looks better!
By the figures and reviews, the engine is a torque monster. Should make a hell of a real world road bike. Test ride in the new year for me.
