I have just fitted twin Termignoni pipes and a decat pipe, and also done the airbox mod and fitted a K&N filter and the bike is running so much better ( It is a 2008 1100S ). I am running it with the standard ECU because when I fit the DP race ECU it comes up with an engine management light, only on tickover, as soon as I rev it the light goes out but come's back on on tickover again. Not keen to ride it with the light on incase it does some damage. No light on with standard ECU.
I would get the DP ECU flashed with a Rexxer flash, really improves on the DP ECU. There are a few people that do the Rexxer flash, I had mine done by Neil at Cornerspeed, he also does a postal service, ie, you post your ECU, he flashes it and sends it back, only snag is that he is on holiday for another week.
Rexxer sounds like an additonal box.... Chris at cjs just reflashes the ecu thats there.... You pay for his expertise and the additonal stuff he does.... No extra boxes are needed.
Rexxer is not an additional box, the ecu is flashed by a plug in unit, that first saves the original map, then flash's the ecu with a new map, then disconected.
