Race Shift On M900?

  1. Howdo

Anyone using raceshift on a Monster? Purchased a lever from Slingshot racing, however you need feet like Charlie Chaplin!

Why raceshift? Done this on my trackbike and want to put my Monster to the same to stop my nose bleeds.

    Any info welcome.

    Cheers Pablo

  2. From memory I had to spin the arm upside down as the her shaft is too far from rear set pegs

  3. I have a direct lever on mine, works OK but needed a bit of juggling to get it to line up with the rearsets.

Generally I find the footpegs are too close to the gear shift output shaft, you can get a shorter direct shift lever (I did) but it results in a heavy action making shifting precisely and especially finding neutral trickier.

I moved my rearsets back as far as possible to use a longer lever, would ideally like them further back but my hi level exhausts limit how far they go, so it's a bit of a compromise, especially if you've got big feet.

I did do the swapping the linkage over for a while and that worked but not a fan of too many moving parts & extensions, especially as I needed to space my pegs out further than optimum for the linkage to work.

  4. On my S2r I just flipped the linkage over. Everything fitted just fine
