Hi all, This is a quick thread let you know about RAF Benson's AirfieldRiding Day (ARD) happening on the 30[SUP]th[/SUP] June 2012. RAF Benson opens its doors annually to the public for riders tohone their skills around the airfield track in a safe environment. We have everything you would expect from a trackday including;tech spec supplied by seaton racing (BSB), 1-2-1 instruction, full medical, fire and bike recovery and of course hot and cold food and drinks served allday, all to the tune of £60 all in for this brilliant day! The Track is a left handed 3mile circuit with a 0.8mile straightdown the main runway to 'open it up'! (have a look on you tube for video footage) www.rafbmcc.co.uk Any questions please ask. Thanks all BF
I'd be up for this BF but I can't seem to get anything from your link, I certainly haven't had your new trailer away. Some more info would be great please.
Looks like a laugh. I take it is an annual thing? Its quite nice to see someone contributing to motorcycling as there seems to be all sorts going on with the scooter lot etc. Here are a couple of vids RAF Benson - Big E - YouTube RAF Benson Rider Day Onboard VFR 750 - YouTube
Have done a few years but racing now firmly in the way of track day fun, so not doing his year. Not sure if my Hants and Berkshire mates are, m which case I may ride up fr a watch during he day

Yep, bike back today from it's service. Went for a quick ride to check it out and came back home and got everything together. Fingers crossed for no showers tomorrow. See you there...
Nice ta meet ya today Most of the vids I took are shakey as the camera was bolted to the fork leg. Great day out though - sunshine all day - nice knee-down corners and a massive long straight - my Sprint maxxed out at only 140mph - mates S1000RR topped 170!
Good to meet you and your mate. What a cracking day today, and great value for money. I would have liked more than the 4 sessions though, but safety is most important... I happened to break my helmet, so will have to go get another!!
Yes, had a great day and is was good fun to let my SP3 have it's first track day in my ownership. Went very well and saw 145mph down the runway. Was good to see so many 916's being used on a track Hope you bike was able to rev over 5k on the way back?
Hi Nev, Good to meet you and the others on Saturday. It was very enjoyable. The bike ran fine all the way home!!! Going to put it on a diagnostics this week and see if a fault code is readable, otherwise a bit stumped... I may have to start swapping bits out. Although it will be tight for the next Track day next week!!! I've only had the issue once before, and that was at a track day... expensive way to test!! Good news... helmet is fixed!!!
Firstly, shakey or not get the vids up Secondly, shame to miss this one as i normally go and watch a bunch of mates. And thridly, nice weather Oh and lastly: hows that SP3 going now smeone is finally using it Nev?
Hi Bradders, SP3 going very well thanks. Harv kept the km's down to a bear minimum over his long years of ownership but I like using her for the intended purpose! She still turns head wherever she goes and as Skidlids said there aren't many M reg bikes about that can still do that... Trackday fairings are off and she is back to normal:-
