Raise The Rear Or Drop The Front

  1. As title, which is best on a 1098 for quicker turn in(realised I had put this in the wrong section)

  2. Raise the rear. Andy

  3. I don't doubt for a moment that you are right, but why is it better to raise the rear instead of dropping the front?

  4. Of the road bikes with a trellis frame I’ve ridden on track, increasing the rear ride height has been the easiest quick fix. Depending on suspension set up, pulling the forks through the yokes, carries the risk of the wheel/mud guard hitting the radiator. Ducati’s own solution with the first iteration of the Panigale V4, was to raise the rear ride height. When you look at the early RS versions of the 916 et al, fork height had an adjustment but that’s track dedicated and IIRC, front adjustment was small. Andy
