Looking for RAL paint code for this.. gold with brown and a tiny green tinge. Any ideas? Thanks Grant
yeah, I've done the research it isn't really out there... Probably the nearest is the Subaru wrx gold wheel code. I'm going to discuss with the painter with images on laptop to see what he can do. It doesn't have to be authentic...I just have to like it! (Good to see you are back Viv )
You may know all this... Watch out for laptop, etc images, as there's no guarantee of it representing a true colour unless you've calibrated it. Also, if you see a colour you like, make sure you view it in daylight or an artificial equivalent (colour temperature).
this is how the Subaru gold looks like if it helps. I had the wheels on my 1098 powder coated last year.
I have looked at my RAL-K5 book and can't see anything close. Take a look at www.e-paint.co.uk/lab_values.asp they have BS, RAL and Pantone charts to look at. Hope this helps.
I’ve just had my wheels powder coated gold and really happy with the results. The powder coater had a selection of different golds and ended up going for a matt finish. I’d compared to the Subaru gold he had but it didn’t pop enough for me. This shows the same gold but one gloss finish and the other Matt finish
