Ramair Pod Filters

  1. Hi all,

I am hoping someone can help me with some wisdom.

After stripping the 998 for a good tidy up (powder coat, fresh paint and blueprint) I am about to start the rebuild.
The bike is going back together with a carbon air box and runners which means I need to use different filters and was looking at the Ramair pod filters to fit on the bellmouths.

Does anyone know what size I need to fit the 998 bellmouths?

    Many thanks

    Fugly

  2. I fitted BMC filters that fit over the end of the runners inside the air box. Some people say the ones that fit over the bell mouths affect the airflow in the box.
BMC are not cheap but I searched e bay Italy and got mine at a good price. Once the brackets are fitted which is very simple they just slide in and out for cleaning

  3. Road or track bike? Track bike - no filters, just coating of tacky chain lube in the runners to catch bits n bobs. Road bike - your choice - I have never ran filters using corse airtubes. I will get shot down for that I realise.

  4. Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies. This is a road bike, I looked at the BMC after hearing good things but cannot guarantee the seal around the base of the tank so have gone wit han MWR that fits over the spray injectors.
    Fingers crossed.
