Ramp For Van Recommendations

  1. Can anyone recommend a proper ramp for a van - for loading a trackbike
Preferable quite wide as want to be able to load on my own if need be
Dont want to spend the earth but want something thats sturdy and tested
    Thanks

  2. I used one of the folding ones from Bikeit. Just put a length of scaffolding board alongside it of of the same length so you can walk it up the ramp. If you're doing it on your own with the bike running then make sure the fix the top to the van . Otherwise the rear wheel shoots the ramp back from under it. I know this to be true.

  3. I got mine from Moto Rapido, a two part ramp that breaks in two so it's quite long but does not take up so much space like a folding ramp might.

It came with a wire cable to secure it to a van or whatever to stop it slipping.

  4. Same as I use.

  5. Need you any further recommendation? :upyeah:

  6. I'd get one for loading quad bikes. Wide enough to walk up next to it

  7. scaffold plank cut to length has to be your cheapest option, worked for me, weight rated but not foldable!

  8. R'alloy if you want a proper ramp...made to order,1000kg SWL and a snip at about £350 + the old Vodka And Tonic........mines 1 metre wide but they'll make them narrower/longer/whatever you want

  9. And here too.

  10. Mind you, the multi really tested that ramps capacity, was bouncing up and down more than a contestant on jim'll fixit

  11. I've got one of those little ones. I keep having to put new rivets in it to keep it together

  12. the biketek is fine for 1 person into a low rear step van like a vw transporter or swb transit
lwb is a bit higher so not easy on yr own but fine with 2 ppl
