1200 DVT Random Clutch Lever Grind

  1. Out today on the DVT.
    Clutch lever/operation is nice, light and smooth everything works as it should 19 times out of 20.
    Then at random the action is really stiff and grinding although the clutch itself works fine, it's just in the lever action.
    After a couple of pulls it goes back to normal. Fine for a while then happens again at random.
    Checked the lever itself and all seems as it should.
    I think a return to dealer is required but any pointers?

  2. Had the same on a 1199 Panigale. Clutch slave cylinder was full of corrosion, replaced under warranty.

  3. It'll be the clutch slave cylinder. Replace it, preferably with an uprated aftermarket part.
