1299 Rb Evo/race

  1. RB Evo /Race knowledge

So after using my 1299 with the RB Evo for the last year and being very happy with the results, I thought it was time to clarify some questions I have in my head..

Base map on the module- I have heard that this cannot be changed by the individual, only the different mapping variants in the file folder of the free software download? And I would have to visit a RB dealer to get the base map changed?

Auto tune function- I have had this running and accepted changes, so does this change the displayed values on the main map tab? As when I accept and zero the adaptive table I can’t see any changes to the ‘master map’ values. Or is it just a ‘sub’ change to the variant mapping

i have a second RB unit that i need to change from RSV4 to 1199 base mapping, so i will have to work out something with the base map change..

    any feedback would be great

  2. I believe you do need to send the unit off to somewhere like performance parts to get the base maps changed. Costs £30.

  3. If you bought the rapidbike new and it's registered with them they will reprogram it for free. Well that's what happened in Australia for me. Sent it to them with an extra padded registered post bag and back it came all sorted about 5 days I think it was.

  4. So just a quick update,
I tied unsuccessfully to change the RB module from an rsv4 to a 1199 data set, and the software won’t let me, do a quick trip to the local RB dealer in the following weeks will be on the cards.
