Re-call Work

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by WeeDavey, Mar 25, 2023.

  1. I have a re-call on my Monster, do I have to have the work done at an official dealer, I have Ray Petty at Greenwich fairly close to me but not sure Ducati UK would approve.

  2. If it’s a recall it will done FOC by an official dealer/service agent as they’ll be paid for the work (labour and parts) by Ducati. If it’s not an officially recognised service centre then I guess you’ll have to pay, but your best bet is to speak with the service centre ie Ray Petty, you wish to use

  3. needs to go to a main dealer for Recall as they cost recover it, for normal servicing, I believe that any VAT registered dealer using genuine Ducati parts legally can service it (I think they aren't allowed to refuse warranty if it's been serviced with genuine parts).

  4. You'll need a dealer to do the recall work. That way it'll get registered as having been done, especially if it's a safety recall.
On the servicing front, it has to be a dealer/service centre. Bikes aren't covered by the agreement that's in place for cars.
