Evening all. On a recent ride my mate who was back marker told me my brake light was flashing on & off. I was not covering either of the levers, so it seems its just the rear lever flapping. Having looked at it there is a bit of free play before the brake is applied, but it seems the switch makes contact with only a tiny amount of movement. Anyone else had issues with this ? I was tempted to adjust most of the free play out but know from experience that can go horribly wrong if over done, and think if anything the switch needs to come through more.
Have seen someone mention this before, can't remember where, probably facebook. They managed to fix it somehow ...
Had the same problem and ended up bending the steel strip on the switch down a bit so that the rear brake lever had to move more before the switch clicks. PIA to get hold of the strip to bend it but it worked.
Just check the adjuster that releases the switch from its normally inserted, open circuit, position is fully screwed into the foot pedal. I know I had to screw mine as far as possible.
