Anyone tried one of these to improve upon the lousy rear brake performance? https://sw-motech.co.uk/collections...dal-ducati-multistrada-950-1200-1260-10-black If so, any thoughts? I know Altrider used to do one but it was discontinued, which makes me wonder about how effective it was. TIA.
I’m intrigued as to why this might improve brake performance? Does your boot slip off the OEM pedal? Im happy with the performance of mine, but it’s the V4S not the 950, but they may well be a different brake system.
So am I, but some other forums have suggested it does; the suggestion being the pedal is too low. And no, my foot doesn't slip off the pedal.
I’ve got the Altrider extension on my 1260 and I find it improves rear brake performance considerably. It gives you a larger plate, more grip and allows more downward pressure. Previously I found it hard to get sufficient pressure and the angle of my foot was too far downwards. I think the silver part on the one you listed could be removed and it would then be similar to the Altrider one (although that has extra ‘pegs’ for grip)
I use the DP rear pedal, the end is adjustable on splines, hence you can raise the pedal a bit so your toes aren't too far downwards when applying the brake, much better brake action with it, as long as your back brake works in the first instance.
