1200 Rear Brake Pedal Extension - My Solution

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Stavrich, Jun 12, 2016.

  1. All, this is my solution to the inconvenient brake pedal position. I thought it could be beneficial to others.

Hope the pictures are self-explanatory but feel free to ask - please note that the pedal used was an old one from ebay, purchased to experiment on.

  2. My solution is simpler. I never use the rear brake pedal.

  3. :clapping:
I, on the other hand, like to use what I paid for.
As you dont use yours, can I have it? It will save you some weight :grinning:
You can throw in the caliper as well :grinning:

  4. Can't argue with that logic Pete1950, go on let him have your back brake :)

  5. Might want to be careful with leaning the bike over now to the right-side.

  6. I never use the rear brake !

  7. I never use my rear brake, but came upon a road sign a few weekends ago "Loose Chippings". There are never loose chippings usually, or they are up a side road. Not this time, all over the road on a bend and I hadn't slowed much. Loads of front brake until I was almost on them, then feathered the back brake, snaking as I was going.

Anyway, I just saved it, and I meant JUST. Off to the next fuel station to empty my underpants was my next move !

  8. So! you do use the back brake then :)

  9. I used one of my nine lives on that occasion too. :Woot:

  11. does this stop your foot twisting inwards too ?

...back brake is necessary for almost everything more than the front and stopping...

  12. Not entirely but the increased height makes using the pedal much easier and I can get the ABS to kick in :)
