1199 Rear End Ride Hight

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Jaystealth, Oct 8, 2014.

  1. Hi all,

I'm new to the Ducati scene, just picked up my new Pani 1199 s dark stealth & I have to say its bloody awesome (even tho i'm only running in).

I have come from a KTM RC8R which was an amazing bike, The Pani is equally a joy to ride but with loads more grunt.

I do have one question to ask tho.

Is there a way of raising the rear end ride height? I know how to change between flat & progressive but will the progressive make the rear higher or do I just wind the adjuster out???

    Cheers.

  2. Hi,

I came from RC8R myself and find the Pani in a different league. Changing from Flat to Progressive doesn't alter the ride height as far as I know.

Not sure you can adjust the ride height easily, sure someone will come along soon.

Out of interest - why do you feel it needs the ride height altered?

  3. I loved the way the 8 turned in, I have dropped the forks 5mm n just wanted the rear up a little, I did this on the 8 n it cornered superbly, the Pani is lush but just wanna do a little tweaking if possible.

  4. Here you are Jay.
Just take off the small triangular plastic cover on the fairing covering the end of the shock and you will see this: 20141008_115713.jpg 20141008_115707.jpg

  7. Cheers Jimmy, I was very lucky, ive liked them for ages n when I saw the matt black in the flesh with all the extras i fell in love with it.
It really is a fantastic bit of kit, apart from the wafer thin paint, got loads of stone chips on it after 1 outing, im having the paint sorted tomorrow & now have a full matt venturahield kit, I should have done this before I rode it, Silly sod :Banghead: lol.

  12. so whats the linkage rod suppose to do ? jay.

  13. U can change the geometry of the bike quickly & easily, i set up my own bikes & ive found for me on this bike ive dropped the forks through 6mm & it turns in a lot quicker, almost how I like it, the adjustment on the rear will make the bike slightly shorter & will turn even better, for me anyway.

  20. That dark stealth colour is simply stunning. Looks like a proper race bike prototype.
