Would like to remove my rear footpegs as I dont take passengers so i will need an exhaust hanger to support the exhaust anyone got one or know where one can be sourced i have trawled ebay and most sites but they seem to be quite rare.
You could always get a secondhand footrest hanger and cut the lugs off.........and reshape the bottom area if you are so inclined...........You could even polish it to nice shiny ally.
How have you got on with fitting them? I bought a pair last year but never got around to fitting them 'coss I couldn't be bothered to work out how to marry them up with the silencer!
I have termi's on mine and just took the bolts out from the originals and used them on the new hanger's, played about with where I wanted to put washers etc.... pretty much a 10 minute job all told.
I had to make mine because I wanted to use the built in mounting holes on the cans as my zorsts are for an IE not the carbed model, plus the link pipes are fixed, which made keeping them lined up awkward.........so, the strap method was not going to be suitable. Mine are 4mm stainless and because they are in two parts, I can remove the connecting bolt and quickly add pillion footrests which my MOT tester insists upon being fitted for the test (I still have the dual seat and pillion cover).
I have standard ones with the pegs cut off and reshaped, cost me £4 of eBay as I wanted to keep mine just in case the wife fancyed a ride!!
