848 Rear Hub Bearings

  1. Hi

Does anyone have any experience of rear hub bearing failure on the 848? Mine failed at 3600 miles and was only discovered on the 1st MOT. It seems an unusually low mileage for that type of failure and technically expensive if you can't source replacement bearing.

  2. Very rare. I'd take a look at the whole rear assembly and check it's all secure. The sprocket carrier nut can loosen and cause play to be felt in the shaft. This would feel like a wheel bearing..

  3. Thanks Nelly, will re torque and see if the play goes.

    Cheers
