Hopefully going to swap over the rear shock on my 899 this week, When removing the old one is it just a case of supporting the rear subframe with a strap to stop it dropping? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah that's right - either support the bike with a centre stand /ABBA stand or lift it via subframe or rearsets then it's just a case of removing 2 bolts. Either that or remove the exhaust and jack it up from the sump. How to replace your rear shock | MCN I bought an abba stand (£100) for jobs like this and it's paid for itself as it makes stuff like this a doddle.
