Anyone know what the differences are in a 916 style shock and a 999 rear shock? I'm presuming the 999 maybe a longer stroke, larger between centres? Can one fit a 998 derived shock to a 999?
The Ohlins site states that they are different models, so I guess not but someone may have tried it and can answer more definitively.
i think they are basically the same length and mounts etc but i would guess there is a compression canister clearance issue
